Great Timex watch for my husband. Big enough face & dial that he can easily see but not flashy or gaudy. Lights up for easy checking at night. Hands also glow. He really liked the band. Best watch for looks, durability & ease of use. Not heavy & it;s accurate, naturally, it’s a Timex!

When looking for a watch, I often start with a search for a “timex indiglo”. They consistently make good watches at affordable prices.
I noticed that if I go from somewhere light to somewhere dark that the hands will glow on their own, or I can press the button to get the dial to light up at night.
As with any watch like this, the AM vs. PM is a little bit of a trial and error, but pretty easy to figure out. I like having the day of the month on the dial.
For me, this particular watch hits the sweet spot between rugged and good looking. The combination of leather and fabric on the band gives it a unique look, and I like how it feels. This is my every day watch, and I do wear it every day.
It is rated for 50 meters, but I wouldn’t want to push it. I plan to take it off when swimming, but I will leave it on for hand washing. It would probably be fine, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
I might have a small complaint that it is a little fiddley getting the band off, since the loop is relatively close to the buckle, but after a few tries, I’ve gotten good at it. I use a pinching motion to pull the strap back through the loop. The “floating” loop also sometimes wanders around, but it’s not a big deal.
Overall, I am quite happy with this watch, and I would buy it again.

I have owned at least 6 Timex watches. This one is the most accurate, lightest, and easiest to read. The only thing I wish it had is a larger date window and number.

Bought the Timex Expedition watch to replace my existing, but still working, one that is beat up and scratched as an every day work watch. The new one purchased on Amazon almost exactly one year and one month ago has failed. The movement spring has worn out so it no longer keeps accurate time. The indigo light also no longer works. Timex warranty is explicit stating it is valid for exactly ONE YEAR from date of purchase for manufacturer defects. Timex quality is not what it used to be. Will not purchase another Timex watch.
