I like my smart watch but I just discovered something unusual – those watches really don’t like heat and sweat.
The outside heat has caused my screen to go wonky a few times and my sweat has apparently wreaked havoc with the sensors on the back.
So, I’m now back to my dumb watch that tells time, doesn’t care what the temperature is, and doesn’t get temperamental should I sweat on it.
At this point you should be asking what sort of watch you get for $8 and change.
A robust design that tells the time and date and has all the technological sophistication of non-digital watches from the past.
In short, it works.
Made of stainless steel with an evenly applied black coating and a really attractive face, this is an industrial watch for those who don’t need to know their blood pressure, oxygen levels or steps walked.
Need to change the time? Pull the crown out until the hands move.
Need to change the date? Pull the crown out until the date moves.
There, just saved you 5 minutes reading the instructions. In fact, the biggest thing about setting this for the first time is figuring out AM from PM and setting it accordingly.
The band is equally nice and made of silicone. It’s also easily replaceable, especially since it comes with the easy on/off spring loaded mechanism (rare at this price-point)
And the weird thing? It’ll probably cost more to replace the battery than what the watch cost when that day comes (it might be cheaper to just get another one of these).
If you’re thinking this watch price is a mistake or anomaly, thing again. The seller, Aiyishi, sells quite a few watches for under $10 and very few above that mark.
Only reason I’m dinging a star is because the ad states “waterproof” when the watch itself is marked water resistant. That does need to be changed.
Better get one, or a couple, before inflation rears its ugly head again!

I needed an inexpensive watch for a day trip that might get lost or damaged. this works great. keeps accurate time, is comfortable and includes battery. attractive piece looks like a very expensive watch. What I paid for the watch was cheaper than if i had to replace the battery. I now wear every day. great watch at a great price.

First impression is a beautiful watch. Very inexpensive. Just hope it holds up. Classy looking and good sized watch face as I have big arms. Good weight to it, doesn’t feel cheap. For this price very impressed as long as it holds up.

I was originally going to rate this much lower because the first one I received did not advance past 12! But they sent be a replacement right away, have had that for a couple of weeks now, and it works fine. Watch face is large but not too large, easy to read, and watch band is very comfortable. For much less than what a replacement battery costs! And I like the way it looks.
