My boyfriend absolutely love it. It is perfect not too technological and really robust. I recommend. There is a lot of fonction which is really surprising for a watch that look standard. It can be link to a phone and allow you to read text message. It is a semi intelligent watch which is exactly what my boyfriend wanted.

My wrist is small and the watch looks perfect, it does not look bulky. The visibility is great, I can always read the numbers even if it is a sunny day or underwater.
The lighting works ok, whenever it is too dark it lights enough to read the time.
I think it is a great watch, it is exactly what I was looking for: a basic watch, easy to read the numbers, tough enough to handle involuntary hits against objects/walls and that I can use for during my swimmings and/or when I go to beach. Also, I don’t need to worry about having to recharge it like a smartwatch. It is a great watch, I love it.

I’ve had a DW5600E-1V for a few years. G-Shocks are like potato chips; you can’t have just one. The 5600 is a classic, and its features have served me well. But as middle age ravages your eyes, you can’t see as well as you used to. The GBD200 caught my attention because of the large display. After doing some reading, I bought one and I’m not disappointed.
I don’t exercise much outdoors so the activity monitor is interesting but not often used. I have no comment about this feature except that it seems to count steps and measure distance satisfactorily even when not paired with a phone.
Pros:
– MIP display. This display can produce huge numbers for time at-a-glance, and it can write text and figures so small that your eyes had better be good to read them. The MIP display is the reason I bought this watch and it alone justifies the price, IMO. I can read the time at a glance in nearly all light conditions. When it’s too dark, a quick push of the backlight button makes the giant numbers on the display instantly visible.
– Displayed information. The date, day of the week, hours, minutes, and seconds are easy to read on the screens with and without GMT.
– Bluetooth connectivity works well.
– Easy configuration through the app. It’s much easier to configure the watch through the app than it is using the watch’s menus, though both are possible.
– Hyper accurate when paired with bluetooth.
– Extra button for backlight.
– Large, easy buttons.
– Vibrating countdown timer expiration. Love this! You’ll always know when the timer has expired.
Cons:
– Negative display. This watch would be even better if the MIP display were positive instead of negative.
– Lack of hour chime. The alarm will both chime and vibrate, but the watch won’t chime on the hour.
– Long strap. People with smaller wrists may find the band a little too long.
– Alerts coming from the phone are much, much too small to read easily.
– The stopwatch only counts in full seconds, probably because the display’s response time is so much slower than standard LCD. If you routinely measure times with 10ths or 100ths of a second, you may not like this.
After about a day, I put the watch into airplane mode and never connected it to the phone again. I quickly realized I just don’t need to be so connected and I found the constant alerts (which I couldn’t easily read) to be far more distraction than enabler.
So my GBD200 is now a “dumb watch” but the display alone makes this watch the daily driver. I’d buy it all over again!

PROS: the gshock square with mip enhancement is a great improvement on a negative display. Display of hours, minutes, and seconds are large and very easy to see at
a glance.
This model also includes various training features such as: step counter, stop watch, interval training function, etc.
CONS: to access automatic time to iPhone using Casio App has denied connection to Bluetooth.
Following instructions to reset seconds, the seconds do not flash. Wondering if that is a flaw in the programming of this procedure.

The watch itself is great—it looks beautiful and feels solid. It performs well as a timepiece and has the durability you’d expect from G-Shock.
However, I have some issues with the connectivity. Notifications on my iPhone are inconsistent unless the G-Shock Move app is actively open on the device. Additionally, the app doesn’t always sync all the information displayed on the watch, like walking distances.
Overall, it’s a fantastic watch, but the app experience could use improvement.

I would advise against buying this watch for its Bluetooth and App capabilities. Instead, buy this watch because it has one of the most beautiful and legible digital watch faces I’ve ever seen.
First things first; this is far from a smart watch that the marketing would have you believe. Yes it can send your phones notifications which is great, but know that you have no control over which ones; it sends them all. The fitness trackers are essentially useless and very cumbersome to use, not to mention navigating anything is painfully slow. So you can forget about using this as a smart fitness tracker etc watch – there are just better options for that.
On the other hand, if you are someone who wants a solid and reliable workhorse of a digital watch, this thing is great! It has the most amazing looking display with huge typeface. It has one face with your local time displayed very large, and another face that displays an additional time zone of your choice as well.
The light is easy to use as it’s a large button in the center of the watch. One thing to note regarding the auto-light(raise your wrist to activate backlight) feature is that once activated within the settings, it only will remain activated for a few hours and then you will have to go into the menu and turn it on again. Not a deal breaker, but it’s a shame that this has been programmed into the watch this way – assuming to save battery. So if you want a watch that can have a backlight auto-light feature on constantly, look elsewhere.
I have small wrists for an adult and this watch is big for me, but it’s not over the top.
Overall, for the price, this is a great digital watch that will last you a very long time. I personally have the watch in airplane mode and do not use it with the app or for notifications. If that’s important to you, get an Apple Watch and have fun charging it every night.

I use this watch for almost anything, including a bike trip in which I took baths on the sea and rivers and it help up great. The dual time display proved to be very useful for me.
I would buy it again… But I wouldn’t need to.

Me gusto que es cómodo elegante y deportivo, el único pero que le pongo es que en el cronografo no marca las centésimas de segundo. Por lo demás me gusto bastante
