I own the original 2100, and this is a step up in many ways, a flavor change in others.
Pros:
Colors are excellent, comfortable to wear, solar+bluetooth is excellent. Lightning fast setup. Hands are wider, which fits the style better than the original. Hands/UI are much faster than original.
Cons:
-you need the Casio Watch app to connect (that makes 3 different Casio apps for my 3 bluetooth Casios). Apps should be merged.
-I slightly prefer the subdial to be the day of the week, rather than mode/power level
Conclusion: this model is a big winner. It’s a fun color on a proven good-looking design, and extremely practical. Just don’t necessarily expect improvement across the board–a lot of these changes are a matter of preference. I hope to see more colorways for this model, and all Casios in the future.

Been considering this yellow watch for more than a year and finally came to the realization that it wasn’t a passing fancy and pulled the trigger. It arrived two days earlier than expected. The packaging was typical G Shock, neatly secured in a tin cannister. New and pristine.
Admittedly at first glance because of the bright yellow color, it would appear novelty and even cheap. However with closer examination it resounds G Shock. Little weak on the lumes, but not a problem with its adequate back light. It easily paired with the Casio App and once connected the time was automatically set. It arrived with a medium charge. According to the manual the length of time to obtain a full charge from medium is about 24 hours. (Patience is a virtue!) I have yet to explore all the Bluetooth functions, but in the meantime I’m just digging the most unusual timepiece of my humble collection. Total coolness! Maybe Casio will bring this model out in orange. If so, no hesitating!

Amazon Canada delivered the watch on time today from the US , and the packaging was very good with plastic wrap to protect the watch’s packaging. The Casio watches app was easy to install and register my personal info and the watch, which then guided me to connect via bluetooth to the watch. I setup the local time, world time, alarms, light display length to 3 seconds, and reminders all from my iPhone. There is no need to read the manual. The colour yellow with white dials and a positive display make it easy to read and fun to wear.

Well, it’s perfect. I don’t see anything not to like. With the Bluetooth app, it keeps perfect time. It’s quite legible. It’s rugged. It’s lightweight. It’s also perfect for shy people, because it forces them to make a spectacle of themselves. I mean, look at that yellow. All bicyclists should have this watch. You can’t wear that color and hide in public. (Unless, of course, you slip it under your shirt cuff.) I highly recommend this watch to shy people, narcissists, and everybody in-between.

I recently came across a company named IFL Watches. IFL turns stock, off the shelf watches, including CasiOak G-Shocks, into bespoke works of art. I purchased one and was impressed enough that I have since purchased an additional two IFL bespoke CasiOaks, in different case color/wristband, and “rainbow” dial/bezel colors, to date. If, like me you collect CasiOaks, check out IFL Watches. When I saw this Yellow CasiOak it didn’t take long to know I had to add to my collection. This watch is all about the color! If you want to make a statement, this is the color. If you want your timepiece noticed, this is the color. If you want a watch that looks like it was made for the outdoors, this is the color! As a Tough Solar model, you won’t have to worry about replacing batteries (if kept properly charged). And the Bluetooth connected Casio App compliments the watch nicely and makes many of the watches features easier to navigate and set. Downloading the app is easy; installing the app is easy; registering your specific watch model (optional) is easy; and accessing all the watch features and settings is super easy. Despite its size, the CasiOak doesn’t really look too big on (my) your wrist, is comfortable to wear, easy to read, and very light on your wrist. This is now my 4th. CasiOak G-Shock, so I can easily recommend it. It’s a cool looking watch, will take anything you can throw at it, and does everything you can expect from of a watch of this type.

This is an excellent Casio watch, in yellow, love the looks, got some compliments on it. I cannot think of one single negative to this watch. One of my very favorite watches to wear. Excellent legibility, super accurate timekeeping with Bluetooth for your smartphone, easy to set up. Of course, tough solar, so no batteries to worry about (at least not for a very long time). Extremely comfortable to wear, you forget it’s on your wrist. Can’t say enough good about this watch. Casio hit it out of the park with this one!

Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase. I have been doing a lot of research and decided to pull the trigger. The watch looks really nice and even better on the hand.
This may or may not be an issue and wonder if it is just mine but after leaving it pointing at the sun for several days, it still shows 90% charged. Not sure why it would not be 100%. Hopefully, this is just mine and not others.
Overall, still happy but would be nice to be 100% if it is left by the window for days. The other Tough Solar seems to be collecting light better.
