The watch is exactly as described.
If you know Casio, and the PRG series you won’t be disappointed by the style, the utility and the straight up and down coolness of this watch.
The strap is a bit gimmicky and to be honest I have already replaced it but it looks ‘tacticool’ and I adore the dark aesthetic and illumination function. I have used many casio watches including edifice, g-lide, gulf master, and pro-trek and this is by far my favourite. Its also my daily wear.

Great looking with a quality feel.

Saw this model in Japan and really liked the design, but it was expensive (~$350) so I didn’t get it. Found this for about $150 here (Amazon Warehouse) and loved the color combo so took a chance and got it. It really does look nice and have a good size. It’s masculine looking but also refined; not too big even for smallish wrists like mine. I really like that it has an actually attractive color scheme and streamlined design compared to almost every other Casio I’ve seen. One review said that it’s hard to read the time but I don’t have any trouble. It’s literally white hands on a black face with an additional clear digital display below, with everything lighting up like a runway when you push the bottom button. You can also set the lights to come on whenever you lift your wrist: very handy. There is so much functionality that the guidebook does go deep into the weeds, but remembering the ABCD layout (Altitude, Barometer, etc), that the B buttons cycles through the additional options, and that pulling out the crown changes the settings is all you need to know to do most things. Haven’t had any trouble with the charge at all, but when I take it off at night I put it under a lamp for a couple of hours. The temperature is utterly useless, the compass is not very accurate, but have enjoyed the altitude a lot, the time display and date options, the lights, and the world time a good bit. The timer and stopwatch seem to work well. Really wish it had a step counter, but honestly I’ll keep it just because it is so cool looking, has a good feel on the wrist, doesn’t require charging, and has enough technological niftiness to be fun to play with. Haven’t had any scratches yet but did put on one of those disposable glass protective screens.

WOW! I’m amazed at Amazon to be able to offer this true watch tool in their warehouse deals for just under $200 cad, snapped it right away as a avid watch guy.
Now be advised I took my time running it thru the paces and reading the manual to fully understand the capabilities of the true outdoors watch, and it worked perfect right out the box.
Now for the temperature gauge (see pics) it was dead on, but as the manual recommended I tested it outside on a hard plastic surface and gave it the recommended time period and it was spot on, if worn on hand, obviously it’s going to have a mixed reading due to body temp, but if you went say camping and lay it besides you then the temperature accuracy will be pretty consistent with your surroundings, the altitude and barometer worked spot on as well and the auto light feature is very attractive, a good feature and perfect for nights or day, colours are super.
It’s a V.3, (also on the more expensive protrek) as this is for a unconnected outdoor world and will get you back home where the smart phone app ones will fail.
Highly recommended buy, I have a pretty extensive Casio solar watches collection but this one very quickly jumped to a no.#1 spot for practical and everyday wear for the urban jungle as well. ZERO regrets splurging the $200 CAD. Thanks Casio & Amazon.

If you are a G-Shock fan and haven’t tried Pro Trek yet – you owe it to yourself to try this watch. It’s as fully-featured as a G-Shock, but looks less industrial and more “grown up”. All Pro Treks are ABC watches (altimeter, barometer, compass) and this one has a Thermometer too. Throw in 5 alarms, timer, stopwatch, world time , and 100m water resistance and you have a do-it-all tool.
My favorite aspect of this watch is the stealth look – the band, dial, and case are shades of black and gray, while the hands are bright white. The hands are easy to read, the dial a little less so. The underside of the band is glow-in-the-dark which creates a cool effect at night.
The only negative? – this model doesn’t have Multiband6 automatic time adjustment. This isn’t a deal breaker, but there are some Pro Trek models which have that feature if you want it. Overall, this is a great watch and highly recommended.

Really happy with this purchase – this is a great looking watch! I was initially worried about the glowing of the watch band, but have found that I actually really like it. It’s not really visible at all on your wrist in any kind of situation with even a little light, but in total darkness (think waking up in the middle of the night while camping), it actually illuminates your surroundings a bit, which is pretty and could be useful. The backlight function works really well – but it clicks off automatically after a couple seconds even while you’re holding the button down. As others have observed, the band feels very comfortable and durable. Overall a great product and worth the price paid.

This is a great watch. I’ve worn every day (and night) now for 2 years. Hands and band (!) are all still bright. This is after 2 summers worth of pool and beach days and years worth of daily showers.. All functions still work. Still looks like a new watch. No issue at all with battery life. It keeps time well, too – I’ve corrected 1x/year for nearly exactly 20 seconds each time. The light can light your path in the dark too – enough light to show a 2-3’ proximity around yourself. I still get compliments on the white hands on black face. Would you again and I highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this watch. You have to keep the manual on you for a little while to get familiar with all the functionalities, but it had everything I was looking for. Just like any other watch with a thermometer, you are not going to get accurate readings unless you take it off your hands and leave it sitting in the area you’d like to get a temperature. This can take up to an hour. Other than that, I don’t know how it happened, but after a few months the world clock got messed up. There is no way to change the UTC world time, therefore I couldn’t even fix it. I had to scroll all the way to LAX (Los Angelos) to get the correct time for an Asian country. Other than that, the strap broke on me a few months in, so you might want to buy an extra. I dislike large watches but this one, although larger than what I usually like, has such a sleek design that it didn’t bother me. Pretty great, just wish I got a good one

I bought this watch when was on sale and it is excellent value. Elegant yet sturdy and full of different
functions. It’s not atomic or Bluetooth but solar & very accurate anyway. My only concern is crown functionality in long term…so far so good…. It’s very convenient thing for switch different time zone when travel or make any other adjustments like shortcut…Excellent watch.
