I love large watches. It said it was 59mm in the description. Its closer to 45mm x 50mm. No bigger and actually smaller than my other casios. And for the price, it should have AT LEAST twin sensors but it has none. It is Solar which is a plus. But OVERALL I was disappointed by the size, but the watch is beautiful, comfortable, different than my others and actually should be priced below $200. Even though Im not happy about the size, it is a super cool watch! And I still give it very high ratings.

If you are looking for a durable, nice looking, tough watch which “does the basics and keeps good time”, search no further! The tag inside the box with the recommended sale price indicated that Amazon saved me about $100 on the purchase. Makes sure you fully charge the solar battery prior to initial use. The illuminated hands help tremendously in allowing me to read the time. It might have been useful to have at least some of the main minute marks (15, 30, 45 and 60) illuminated as well; however, I have had no real problem reading the current time. Exceptional Watch!

Great entry to my G Shock collection. This is what I was looking for. I have a full steel g shock and an all resin g shock and this mixes both together. It has all the standard g shock features, stopwatch, timer, world time, it’s a mix of both digital and analog and is just as tough and rugged as they come but with a premium feel and look. The rubber straps are comfortable and look rugged, it has a rubber or resin top and steel underneath so it has some heft to it. The all black look makes it look stealthy and elegant. And the added solar charging is a plus. It also lights up when it’s dark and u turn ur wrist to look at it, the light turns on for 3 seconds making it easy to read in the dark. All in all, a great addition for anyone looking into lower mid price range. I believe it’s worth the $240 I paid for it.

I had been looking at this watch since Christmas. I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing it. I’m so glad I did! I love this watch. I own a couple of other CASIO’s and they continue to serve me well. The watch itself looks great. I absolutely love the design. It looks like it could be heavy in a picture. Not at all. It’s sturdy without being heavy and has a well-balanced feel to it. Getting the watch set up upon receiving it was a snap. I find it very easy to read. The only small criticism I might have is that as the second hand moves to the quarter hour marks, it momentarily obscures the digital readouts. Overall, a great watch. Recommended!

I purchased this watch after educating myself on many similar watches in the G Shock lineup. Easy enough to read, you’re probably purchasing it for the all black look, which makes it a touch more difficult to read, but you can live with it. The watch is assembled in Thailand, and assembly quality is very very good. Unlike a different Casio watch I have which also has a mineral crystal, this one has an antireflective coating on it making it much easier to see. Also notable for this watch are the good light, which illuminates both the digital and analog displays, and the tough solar, which charges the watch nicely within a week of sun exposure.
The watch you’re really comparing it to is the GAS100B-1ACR. This watch has the same movement but is assembled in China. Other specs are very similar, with some cosmetic differences, at about half the price.
I went with the GSTS100G, and am satisfied with my choice.

I don’t have any complaints about this watch. I owned Fossil, Bulova, Seiko, and Timex watches.
First off, the watch’s weight on the wrist is solid yet convenient for continous use. It’s like wearing a well-designed hiking backpack — you’ll always feel it on you, but it is comfortable and doesn’t hinder your body motion.
Readability of the watch’s digital layouts is 8/10. In most circumstances, you can clearly read what is displayed. In very dim settings, you may have to angle the watch to see the digital layouts clearly. In the dark, you will need to use light button.
Setting up the watch with all of its functions (time, daylight savings, date, alarm, power saving, mute/beep, 12-hr/24-hr) is easy per following instructions by manual. It took me about 10 to 20 minutes for me to fully set up my watch. Anyone from children to elderly can do it as long as they follow the instructions provided in the box. Instructions include flow-chart and illustrations of the watch in various mode settings.
Everyday use of the watch, provided that you do not cover the watch with a long-sleeve shirt or jacket, will ensure high enough charge level for the watch to operate normally for a very long time (at least 2 years but much longer on average). As the watch is exposed to sunlight, indoor lighting, or any glare from various light sources like TVs or campfires, the battery will have sufficient power. Even after years of use with the same battery, I would estimate that as long as it gets exposed to a few hours of light per day, it should be be operational for at least 20 hours.
You’ll definitely notice power failure if the watch is stored away from any light for a long time (several days to a month).
Durability is good. It isn’t fragile, obviously. The one thing to watch out for is removing the watch whenever you get into a Jacuzzi, bath, shower, or will be interacting with hot water (100°F or more) in any manner. It is not likely that you will see any damage or difference while wearing the watch in hot water but the chances of damage to the watch’s digital layouts and internal machinery is still significantly higher than if you kept the watch away from hot water.
To check for authenticity of your watch, it should have CASIO placed on both sides of the watch, along with a module number on the back of the watch that matches the watch’s instruction manual that it came with. Fake G-Shock watches generally have a fixed module number (same number for several fake watches) and the instructions manual won’t indicate any module number at all or have a module number that doesn’t match the watch.
You can further check the authenticity of the G-Shock by setting the “Auto-light” system on (when you turn your watch towards your face, the watch will turn on the light automatically) and testing it. True G-Shock watches will turn the light on by itself if you move the watch to face you. Fake G-Shocks may not even have this option available to set and it will not be able to illuminate the watch automatically by itself when you turn the watch to face you. **Fake G-Shocks will still have a light to use that can be activated by pressing a button but it will NOT ever come on automatically**
It is worth the money for a durable, solar-powered, handsome looking watch. It can match with almost everything you wear and can be used in casual settings, a professional environment, and dress-up occasions.

One of my best watches. Nothing to dislike.

I wanted a nice looking watch I could wear in rougher situations without worrying about it being damaged, and this delivers. It looks just as cool in real life as it does in the pictures. While thick, it doesn’t feel overly bulky on your wrist, and the band is nice and comfortable. Well built as you would expect from a G-Shock, and with the help of the manual you can figure out all the features without much of a problem.
