As stated this watch is bodacious, meaning it is attractive and admirable. It is bold, because it’s a BIG watch (52.5 mm) with some bold features, and in my case it’s a bold color (yellow). I’ve attached a photo of this watch next to my Casio Aviator watch to illustrate how large this Armitron 40/8397 is. And it really is a beautifully designed and executed watch. The numbers, markings, functional groupings, indicators, and artistic design elements are well thought out, functional, and easy to read. This isn’t a ridiculously large watch, like one that would need to be worn on a chain around your neck, but it is BIG and makes a big statement when worn. It’s a fun departure from my many other ‘normal sized’ (38-43mm) watches. I wear it sometimes when I bicycle or e-scooter around the city and definitely wear it as a casual watch on the weekends. It only cost $15.55! It has an amazing list of features and it comes from a long-lived company with a good reputation for quartz watches. I own numerous Armitron dress watches and sports watches and you definitely get your money’s worth with Armitron. Highly recommend – buy it, love it, and have fun with it! I’m going to purchase the awesome RED one next!

The Armitron Sports watch is a pretty cool and slick watch. The strap is pretty flexible and not stiff. The functions ranging from stopwatch to dual time is pretty handy. The night light is also good. The only thing about the watch is that the strap over time will start to dull and get dirty. Of course the color yellow will be hard to hid any dirt/discoloration. But I did get a lot of compliments on the watch during my workouts. Overall its a pretty good watch at a decent price.

The very first purchase I made for myself when I ‘made some real money’ was a luxury watch. It was, and still is special to me.
Over the years I’ve purchased many more–my main problem being: My watches are too nice to wear. 🙁
So, I started buying G-Shocks and the like, wasn’t always happy with them. Quality seems to vary between models.
Then I found these Armitrons– $25 !?!? — I bought two as a joke. I now wear them often.
True story–I receive many compliments on these two watches, and I’m always happy to tell people how in-expensive they are.
Not ‘cheap’—in-expensive.
The watch is a great size (large) on my wrist (6’3”, 190lbs) It can easily be read and seen, the light feature is better then most of my G-Shocks, and best of all–I simply DO NOT CARE if I bang it on my desk or car, or ….
Great watch–better buy!

Lo compré para mi novio que buscaba un reloj para sus actividades en el agua y se quedó muy feliz al recibirlo.
Es de buena calidad. Resiste perfectamente baños en el mar y snorkel. El color es muy lindo. Vale la pena. Recomiendo.

It’s actually waterproof, having survived many swimming pools and mineral hot springs. Great, sporty look get lots of comments. It’s just fun. Setting the time and functions requires a bit of patience as the procedure is not exactly intuitive. Still, I love this watch and consider it a bargain for all its features.

Really like this yellow on this watch with the black highlights. Just really pops. Easily read during the day and at night with backlit display. Probably will get the red version as well.

I loved the boldness of it, a big, colorful watch, very comfortable to wear. It came already set up, which wad very nice. All I had to do was wear it straight out of the box. It has a nice, well made feel. I will test its water resistance when I take it kayaking. Happy!

Eye-catching style and great color. Good functions and sturdy enough, with some water resistance. It was a perfect companion for my week-long camping and canoeing adventure on Upper Missouri River. My only criticisms are that it runs a little slow, and the plastic watch bands are a little stiff.
