When you set the day and date be patient. If you see Chinese letters, just turn the crown one more time and English will appear. The dial lights up quite well. I received an excellent extra silicone strap with my purchase. I am very pleased so far. I got the yellow-green dial.

PS: Don’t take a shower while wearing. It comes with this great buckle contraption, so you can remove it from your wrist, before you get into the shower. Besides the watch product specifications/product info says this….

The numbers are clear but the date and day are in a different language. It is not easy to open the pin to change time and date. The nylon wristband is like wearing a rock on your wrist. It feels like hard plastic.

This is a great looking watch and a good value for the money. Similar to other reviewers the date function does not work very well for English speaking users. In my case, the date is too small to read so it doesn’t matter to me that it is not in English. The watch face glows in the dark and lasts much of the night. I wish, however, that it had a back lit face similar to the Timex indiglo watches. Overall, I felt this was a good quality watch for the price.

The watch is nice and very well made, but, there is no light if you need it at night.

Watch is ok.It keeps time,and the face of the watch is large. But it has to be used in natural daylight so the coatings the face glows at night so the dial can be read in the dark. Mine only glowed for under an hour. Long and short I threw it in a drawer and bought a different watch, I can use this in the daytime as a backup.

I bought this watch for my son who is training to be an EMT.
Within 2 weeks of graduation (6 mo to the day of purchase) the glass on the face of the watch breaks.
He never even got to one shift as an EMT before the watch broke. Disappointed in quality.
