Great simple watch! Exactly what I was looking for. I have not worn a watch in 30 years and this one reminded me of the flex band watches my gramps wore.

    Pros:
    Easy to read.
    Light weight.
Nice and easy to set date/time.
Nice looking stainless steel bezel and band. Looks more expensive than it was. Smart looking and simple.
I like the dark blue face.

    Cons:
Band is pretty small. It just fits my wrist. Some stretching has helped. I am 5’9″ 220lbs and average wrists. Some minor band link separation but for the money, it’s not a huge deal. Not buying a larger band as they are nearly the cost of this watch.
Indiglow feature leaves a thin dark li r across the top of the face at the 12oclock position. I remember this issue going g way back k I to the 80’s models. Funny Timex hasn’t resolved that. However the light is bright and functional.

Overall I like the watch allot. Smart looking, classic, functional, and affordable. I catch myself looking at the thing as it’s pretty nice. Totally happy with it. Glad I chose this over other brands that fogged up when wet. No issues thus far!

I was amazed at how rapidly I received my order . I really don’t live close to any distribution point. It was amazing, I ordered on the 17th in the evening and on the morning of the 19th I had my I had my watch, incredible!
I like my watch. The online manual doesn’t give the right instructions for shortening the bracelet so it took me 45 mins to figure it out without permanently damaging the watch band. I am having trouble to change day of the week. The manual gave instructions to pill the fob to settings a,b or c, but I seem to only find a and b. So I’ll wait till Saturday to change the date and see if that works. Other than that, I love this watch the comfort and the look. Certainly worth the price.

  3. The Blind Reader

I bought this watch as I have low vision and need something easy to read. I have always had good luck with the Timex brand. It is indeed easy to read and at the push of the stem, glows in the dark, always great when having to wake up in the night for kids or prayers.
Now, what everyone complains about: YES, you WILL have to turn the stem of this watch many, many times to set the date and time correctly. I say, put your favorite audiobook, recording, etc. on your headphones and just go for it. It’s not difficult, just time consuming. This is the only drawback of this watch.
It is very handsome to wear, and comes a good six inches up my arm as a woman. I keep meaning to take it to a jeweler to have it resized, but rather like it as is, as I always seem to have my sleeves rolled up all the time anyway! It is water resistant, I do take it off in the shower but I have gotten it wet washing my hands and it hasn’t hurt the watch at all. Five stars!

Es un reloj clásico, elegante, bueno… por un buen precio

  5. The Keyster

This watch has a very clear, easy-to-read dial. I like the “indiglo” feature. It is ideal for sleep-in-the-dark wear-a-watch-to-bed guys like me. It also keeps pretty good time. I bought this one to replace one just like it that lasted almost ten years. After shopping quite a bit, I found nothing any better in this price range. Of course, nothing is forever. Eventually, the case will become etched by natural skin chemicals, and the stem may even disintegrate. So, buy another watch. The negatives are these: 1) like all cheap calendar analog watches, you have to manually advance the dates at the end of short months; 2) the band is a magnet for dust and crud, so it needs cleaning once a year with a toothpick or needle. If you’re lucky, the battery will last as long as the watch. Otherwise, I suggest going to a real jeweler to replace the CR-2016 cell. The back of the case does not unscrew; it “pops” off. Getting it off is no problem. Getting it back on (without ruining the seal) takes more talent than you typically find in the shops that also sell automobile batteries. All things considered, this is a rather good watch for the money.
UPDATE (Eight years and three months later)… So, the “ten year” battery lasted eight and a quarter years. I am not complaining, just reporting. Unfortunately, I failed to follow my own advice. I tried to replace the spent battery myself. Bad move! I should have gone to jeweler. But no, I got out my watchmaker tools and started prying on the back. It would not move. It was affixed much more solidly on this watch than on the watch it replaced. So, I used the stem for leverage. That was a really bad move. The stem snapped right off. No fixing that, I’m afraid. A clean break. As a result, here I am buying my third watch of exactly the same make and model, exactly the same as I reviewed eight years ago (see above). Maybe I’m wrong, but I believe it is now a few dollars cheaper than before. No complaint about that. Anyway, I am not bothering to shop around this time. It’s a good watch, well worth the money, and I never believed the battery would last ten years in the first place. So I am buying another one, exactly the same. Watch this space eight years from now; and, assuming my thoracic ticker still functions, I will report again. If one battery lasts eight years, maybe another one will actually go for the full promised ten years. Incidentally, the batteries (CR-2016) are cheap enough. I got five of them for $3.75 on eBay. Coincidentally, the seller advertised a ten year shelf life.

  6. Amazon Customer

Bought this for my son as a birthday present. I had one when he was a toddler and he used to be fascinated by it when I tucked him in at night. It is a very classic looking watch, and the gold-tone stretch metal band makes it easy and convenient to use everyday. And, it looks good. I mean, it’s a Timex. Very sharp, professional looking, classic.
