This is a great lightweight watch for everyday use. I own an expensive watch with all the gizmos, with a metal bracelet band. Although I really like it, it is pretty heavy. I also found that I really never used all the multiple features. I therefore searched for another watch that would look really nice and just give me the time and date, the only features that I actually use. I concentrated on finding a Timex watch because of its decades-long reputation, and it’s reasonable prices. Timex has so many choices of colors and wrist bands, I ended up spending hours searching and I learned a lot.

I noted two complaints. First, that the date feature is very, very small and is hard to read. I agree.it is ridiculously small. After so many complaints about the size of the date feature, I would think Timex would redesign this feature to be equal to other brand watch date sizes. But this alone wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Second, I read complaints about the acrylic crystal that covers the face easily scratched. I discovered that on Amazon there are two main Timex listings. One listing has mineral crystals, which are high quality, traditional, and less likely to scratch. And the other listing has choices of watches with acrylic (plastic) crystals. I imagine that the mineral crystals are for watches manufactured before Timex found a way to cut costs and started to primarily use acrylic crystals. Hey, Timex, stop cutting costs and maintain your quality reputation!

I also saw a couple of complaints that the second hand ticking was very loud and distracting. My Expedition watch’s second hand is completely silent. This person must have purchased a different Timex watch that isn’t quartz and uses a battery.

My leather band is very comfortable and has several notches to fit almost anyone’s wrist size.

Finally, I would encourage Timex to expand their selection of solar powered watches. Although they cost more, one never needs to change a battery.

Overall, I am very happy with my Timex watch. it’s a quality watch with basic features, and you can’t beat the price.

Bought this watch for its reported toughness and accuracy. The price was right too. However, the watch had clearly been used and returned. The band had wear marks and the box had been torn. When I opened the box the watch just fell out. I had bought a “new” watch for full price but clearly this was not a new watch. All that said I will keep it because it’s a nice looker and will serve its purpose. But, I’d be careful ordering from this supplier.

This is a good-looking watch. The looks are true to the WWII aesthetic that inspire many watch designs today from affordable to top-tier. Modern manufacturing provides quality and value that’s on par with much more expensive watches. The robust and quality leather band surprised me. It’s all wearing well and the push-button Indiglow feature lights up the entire watch face. And water resistant to 50m to boot! I’m a pretty demanding/picky shopper and I just keep looking at this and thinking wow. Highly recommended. The 40mm case seemed a little large at first but I’ve gotten used to it and it provides numbers large enough to easily read with a glance.

    Like the indiglo

  5. Jorden

Si bien los colores se ve más colorido en las fotos, en persona se ve bien y se siente de calidad. No realiza tanto ruido como algunos mencionan.

  6. CREATINEBRO

Bonito. Sencillo. Parece más caro a simple vista. Correa y acabados generales de calidad. No demasiado grande.
Y lo más importante: da la hora.

This is a great field watch! This is my first time owning a Timex, and I have to say I’m impressed. I’ve owned a handful of Casio watches, a Seiko, and an Orient, and I wanted to give Timex a try. I’ve owned watches that cost more than 5 times the roughly $30 I paid for this one, and while this is definitely not in the same league as a Seiko or an Orient, I am very pleased with it. I’ve been wanting a field watch for awhile now to have as a more casual analog option, and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s water resistant to 50 meters, it came with a comfortable NATO strap, and it has luminous hands as well as Timex’s Indiglo feature, which is Timex’s backlight technology that illuminates the full dial. So if you need to check the time in the dark, simply press the crown and the full dial will light up, which adds to practicality.

This Timex expedition has a metal case, and I’d recommend it over the other expeditions that have a resin case, as the resin case expeditions have a notoriously loud tick and this one is a good bit quieter. The build quality is also noticeably better than the resin case models. I plan to use this as my daily driver/beater watch at work because it’s simple and good looking, and is cheap enough that if it gets damaged it’s not a big deal. Time accuracy is great as well, considering it’s a quartz watch.

Overall, if you’re in the market for a field watch that is practical, affordable, and good looking, this is the watch for you.

Band that came with the watch was filthy.

As another reviewed experienced the back cover popped out for no reason as well, had a glance at the insides of the watch, lots of white grime with some clear fingerprints. After putting the back cover back (with great difficulty) some of the white stuff fell down the dial…

    I love this watch because:
    Keeps time correct.
    Easy to read dial.
    Band is very comfortable.
Very good value for the money (~$40)
    And it looks great.

This watch is really nice! I am really impressed with my Timex watches I’ve purchased over the last few years. They are really well made and I’ve not had any issues with them thus far.
I love this watch combination of yellow face with a green NATO strap. It is really quite stricking!
I took a few photos of it with my other Timex watches I’ve purchased in the past.
I’m pretty sure it’ll hold up well but will update if issues.
For thirty bucks or so it’s really a good deal. I personally cannot stand smart watches, I just need something to tell the time and date which can be read easily at night.

Great watch, stylish, comes in many different colors. Perfect for everyday wear. Has date and military time, plus an indigo backlight button for lowlight scenarios. Decent strap, comfortable for me. I have smaller wrists and it fits fine. So far it holds up, no scratches yet and keeps on ticking. Only downside is it comes with no manual, had to look it up. You have to pull the dial which has three positions to set time, date, etc.

Gostei bastante do relogio, pois contem material de qualidade e um excelente custo x beneficio.
