Originally purchased the white version of this watch and loved it so much I went back and purchased the red version of it. Great watch anyone that’s looking for a big face well designed lightweight watch. This is definitely it. There were some comments speaking on the light that illuminates the screen in dark conditions, to be very clear the light isn’t designed for you to see the digital board that displays the date and day it’s literally for the analog style of the watch to see the time at night so I feel that the customer that originally purchased this watch was a little confused on how that light or what was the actual purpose of the light. Outside of that amazing watch functionality is great set up is super easy. There was another comment that spoke about the set up. Read the directions. It literally shows you exactly how to set the watch up. I had zero problems setting the watch up. It was super easy and also I’m familiar with G-Shock had them for years. Just read the instructions. It will instruct you directly what you need to do to set up and there will be no issues getting the watch set to what you needed to do the money get a massive discount on the original price cause all of these watches are over $100 Will definitely buy again.

Watch arrived set to Tokyo time zone. When you set it to your time zone and DST on or off, watch is correct within a minute or two. Instruction book is very small. Suggest you transfer information to a large sheet of paper, much easier to setup if not putting down booklet to do each step. 12/24? Watch face in 12 hour analog format. Zero out seconds with time on computer or phone. Hour set is separate from minute set. Minute set should be all you need to fine tune to correct time. Turn off tones for buttons and set light duration and you’re done. Much easier than PRO TREK Solars that have digital and analog settings to make.

This is my 5th GA-700. I have ,matte Grey, matte tan, matte black w/red trim and matte olive army green. Then came upon the red. I got it same day. I’m pleased to say although it’s red it’s not a bright red. It’s more subdued because of the matte finish. Looks good and a nice size too. My favorite so far of my collection. If you like a simple look of a G-Shock watch, the GA-700’s are the way to go.

All of the functions seem to be working fine. Nice dial size for my 9-inch wrists. Not too crazy about the proprietary band, I like the option of changing my bands out sometimes, the band seems a little cheap, but at least it fits my wrist. Super light, I don’t even feel it there most of the time, and a true red. I would have liked an led backlight instead of what this offers, but I’ll work with it for the price.
