I’ve had this watch for eight months and it’s great in every way — accurate, feature-rich, good looking enough to wear in business settings, rugged. Also, I like its moderate size. A major attraction for me is its five alarms and countdown timer, without which I’d be out of a job and estranged from family and friends for missing meetings and social obligations. I have only one complaint, something I regard as an inexplicable shortcoming: the countdown timer has a maximum start time of 59 minutes. If I have only one appointment on a given day then I’d prefer the quicker process of setting the countdown timer rather than an alarm. Other analog-digital Casios that cost less have 12- or 24-hour countdowns, why not the GAB2100-1A?

The hands barely glow in the dark – they are very dim and only glow for a little while not all night. And to make it worse the hour ticks don’t glow at all. Yes there is a light but that means you have to press a button to read the time in the dark. Also, it requires me to setup a Casio ID and the device being discoverable by other bluetooth devices and location tracking is not something I want.

El diseño del Casioak es muy atractivo. En muy poco tiempo su popularidad ha crecido como la espuma. En lo personal tengo seis, y sin duda este es el más práctico de todos. Excelente legibilidad, la conveniencia del Bluetooth, que te permite realizar los ajustes de manera muy sencilla. Cuento con la versión amarilla que tiene las mismas ventajas, pero visualmente este modelo en negro es mucho más bonito. También tengo la versión en metal, pero al tener la pantalla en negativo es menos práctico, por lo cual este, en mi opinión es mejor, aunque es mucho más llamativo el modelo de metal. Sin duda una compra muy recomendable, el mejor Casioak relación calidad precio

What’s to say other than the watch is a G-Shock
And it should last for years if it is exposed to sunlight to keep it charged up and connected to Bluetooth once in a while to keep the time accurate … It’s a great watch in my opinion,

It’s a g shock that’s a simple design. To me this is like having the feeling of nostalgia. When you put this on and think of all the times you’ve worn a g shock from the 2000’s, 80’s, 90’s, or even Casio. This is it. Bluetooth applications are great but not needed. Had it for months and never had any issues. Again, you get g shock you get quality, reliability & perfection.

Came with a large scratch on glass, nice fitting watch if it wasn’t for the large scratch.. returned. Buyer beware of potential quality. Looks like someone stuffed it into the tin without looking what there doing. Smashing the foam.

Durable! Attractive! Many compliments on this watch. My work environment is harsh, wet and rough. This watch takes a beating and maintains the attractiveness that attracted me to it.

Watch looks great however mine had no sound, no alarm or function tones. Casio custom support was very nice and they told me to return it. Amazon wants me to pay shipping to return it, I think to Singapore.

I’m hard on watches, good ones, cheap ones, all cross the rainbow bridge well before their time. This will be my first G Shock, so long term reliability is an expectation but not confirmed. I do however like syncing and controlling functions with my phone (I like simple), I do like solar charging (it works) and I really like analog. OK, not the easiest thing to read, without my glasses the digital screens are a blur and not having glow in the dark hour markers is a big Casio oversight. That said I like it, wear it all the time and would definitely buy it again.

There are plenty of positive reviews around the GA B2100 series G Shocks. These really are nice. Make it nicer and unique to you by doing the metal modification. There are several kits available right here on the zon already, but if you do decide to do the metal mod, I recommend the SKXMOD kits. Just do a search for skxmod and you’ll find their website. Tons of options to modify these 2100 series G-Shocks. Out of the box these are still excellent timepieces. Modded, and they’re even better. A lot of info on YouTube and around the www if ya wanna research further. I’ve modded 6 already and they are stunning. Simple to DIY too.
